Silja Paymer for MV City Council 2026 (the “campaign,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through siljapaymer.com and campaign communications, how we use it, and the choices you have. The committee’s FPPC ID is #1488605.

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to give us. That can include your name, email address, mobile phone number, mailing address, and the content of a message or signup. If you agree to text messages, we keep a record of that consent and of a later opt-out.

If you make a contribution, ActBlue processes the payment. The campaign receives the information needed to thank you and to meet California campaign-finance rules, which can include your name, address, occupation, and employer.

Our website host may keep ordinary technical logs, such as browser type and the time of a visit, to deliver and protect the site. We do not use those logs for advertising. This website does not use advertising cookies.

How we use information

We use information to respond to you, send updates you requested, coordinate volunteers and events, keep consent and opt-out records, operate this website, and meet legal duties, including campaign-finance reporting.

Email and text messages

Email and text messages are separate choices. An email address does not sign you up for text messages, and you can join the email list without providing a mobile number.

If you provide a mobile number and check the consent box on our text-message page, you agree to receive informational SMS text messages about campaign updates and voter outreach from Silja Paymer for Mountain View City Council 2026. Contributions

Text messages from this program are campaign updates and voter outreach. They are not a request for a contribution. Contributions to Silja Paymer for MV City Council 2026 are voluntary and are not tax-deductible. Mountain View limits an individual contribution to $1,000 per election cycle. California law requires us to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation, and employer of people whose contributions pass the reporting threshold. Those reports are public.

Sharing

Personally Identifiable Information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that host the website, deliver email or text messages, or process contributions, and only so they can do that work for the campaign. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, including in public campaign-finance reports.

Text-message opt-in data and consent will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own promotional or marketing purposes. A vendor that sends messages for the campaign may process that information only to operate this text program.

How long we keep it

We keep information for as long as we need it for the uses above, including consent records and records the law tells us to keep, and then we delete or de-identify it.

Your choices

Reply STOP to any campaign text to end messages. Reply HELP for help. You can leave the email list from the link in a campaign email, or by writing to silja.for.mv.council@gmail.com. You may ask us to correct or delete information you submitted. We may retain records the law requires, including contribution records.

We do not share personally identifiable information with third parties for their own direct marketing. A California resident can email silja.for.mv.council@gmail.com with the subject “California Privacy Request.”

If this policy changes, we will post the new version on this page and update the date above.
